Green-screen

I have decided to use Green-screen to help create the effect of thoughts and the idea that the character has gone but the male character is thinking of the times that they used to do things together.

I have booked to use this on Friday 9th March 2018 for 3 hours.

Car Prop

I have decided that I could make a scene using a car, this will focus on the male driving the car and the female sitting in the passenger seat. I am going to try out this idea when I next complete filming.

Using Opacity.

To show memories throughout my song, I have used opacity. This will help to emphasise the emotion in the particular scene. It emphasises that he is thinking about the previous relationship whilst being alone.

Adding Effects To My Shots.

As I am trying to portray a memory, and the way that I would like to do this is using effects.

 These are some of the different shots and after careful thinking, I would like to place the effect 'Dream' as the overlay.

Stabilising My Filming (check videos)

When filming a shot of my actor walking away I found that the shot was shaky and didn't look stable or give the affect that I wanted it to.

Before.

I decided to try and use a stabiliser in IMovie to see if this would stabilise my video. However, this did not work. Instead it brought down the quality of the video.

I have decided that I would like to re-film this shot.

After

Filming on 23rd January 2018

I had previously planned what I wanted to create on this day. I uploaded a post stating all my targets:

• Costume - "Ensuring to portray the casual guy"
• I did focus on the costume in my second draft asking him to wear casual clothes and to direct him how to style them. 
• I did state "Remove the jacket to show the top underneath." However, I chose not to do this in my shot as we were in an outdoor setting and it would reflect the weather.

• Directing his emotion - I asked my actor to portray the idea of losing someone and feeling alone.
• 'I would like to repeat my shots'  - I did repeat my shots in order to create different shots and get better angles.
• 'Complete a side shot' - I would like to create this at a different stage.
• 'Shot of him walking away' - I completed this shot consisting of 1-2 minutes of him walking away that I can edit.
• 'A mid-shot of him walking away' - I didn't try this shot.
• 'A P.O.V shot' - I also need to complete this shot.
• 'Lip-syncing shot' - I am going to use draft one as a place holder to see how much I need to film.

Consistency In Shots (add pictures)

I have decided that when I complete my filming on Tuesday I would like to film each shot three times. The reason I am doing this is to ensure that I have a varied version throughout my different shots.

I will place a marker on the floor so I can mark where I would like to start and end its shot so it is consistent for each shot. A way I can do this is with some tape.

Contacting My Actor.

I have contacted my actor to ensure that filming would be able to be taken place on the 23rd January 2018.
