Changing the costume ideas.

My original costume ideas for the male included:


However, it is was too difficult to ensure that my actor was always wearing the same outfit. Therefore, the actor has chosen to wear black jeans and black shoes and a coat to cover the top half. This would ensure that the outfit was consistent throughout.

Creating my character.

I would like to create a name for my actor, this will allow me to use his name throughout all three of my tasks.
I went onto name generator in order to create a good enough male name for my character that would be reflected by his style of clothing.

Filming The Female Scenes. (add picture)

I have decided to create my shots with myself as the female actress in order to create the same effect. Later on I will re-film these shots within my original actress Beth and know exactly what I would like to film.

Three different locations (add images)

When I go on to film more for my music video, I would like to focus on three different locations to create different ideas.

A park: To create the idea of good memories of when the couple got a long.

The promenade: To create the idea of being sad thinking about memories.

The beach: This is were I would like to do my lip-syncing in order to overlook Liverpool in the background.

I would like to change the speed within my music video in order to create different effects, and emotions.

I would like to look at both speeding up and slowing it down.

I have tried to create lip-syncing throughout my video in order to create emotion within the actor.

I would like to only hear the backing track to my music video and not the background to the original shots. Therefore, I will be taking out the sound in the videos and the adding in the backing soundtrack in order to create the music video.

Planning My Filming.

In order to film on Thursday 9th November 2017, I need to get in touch with my actors to confirms the dates in order to create a detailed plan of what I want to film.

How I plan to Film Draft 2

As I would like to film movement on the Thursday 9th November 2017.  I would like to film shots of walking with the camera. I am going to film this using a skateboard.



I will be using the skateboard along with the tripod on top. This will help me to achieve the smoothest filming that I can whilst keeping up the speed of someone walking.

Rehearsing My Music Video.

I am going to be focusing on rehearsing my song with my actor on Wednesday 8th November 2017 . I plan to spend an hour directing my actor and preparing him with costume and directions. This will make it easier to direct when I go onto filming it, allowing me to explore different shots.

Planning To Recreate Shot.

One shot that I would like to recreate throughout my video is the idea of the male character walking through time. I created this in my draft video. However, there are target I would like to set myself to create in order to make this shot better and to also ensure I can edit it and ensure it is not going to create a repetitive outlook on the video.

I would like to work on the costume in this video, ensuring it portrays a 'casual guy' experience emotions and also the idea of love being his main priority. I will not ask my actor to change his costume. However, I would like the camera angle to view it more and to remove the jacket showing the top underneath. This will create a more casual look and will also make him look smarter; as well as casual. Therefore, it would match my original plan of costume.

I would also like to repetitively take this shot in order to obtain different shots.

• Side shot of him walking. Showing his emotion and the surrounding around him
• Shot of him walking away, showing the area he is walking in and the sense that he is walking away from his problems but his problems are following him
• A mid-shot of him walking away from the camera. Showing him leaving it all behind.
• A P.O.V shot that will give the sense of being inside his mind and showing what he is seeing.
• Lip-syncing shot to show his emotion towards the lyrics.

I would like my actor to show his emotion the same. However, I would like to direct him more:

• Remove the phone from the shot. A long with the headset his is wearing.
• I would like him to look into the camera as he is lip syncing
• I would also like him to over-pronounce his words clearly showing that he is singing the song.
• As well as this, to be continuously walking at a steady pace.

I would also like to take a shot of the Park and also the beach to establish were the video is taking place. These will be wide shots. However, I am also going to look at other shots that may suit the song better.

I have decided to complete the filming at 12.30 as it will be a part of the day were the lighting will be effective. As well as this, it will be relatively empty. Therefore, I would like to be able to receive the desired effect.

There will not be any digetic sound from any of these clips. Therefore, I will not be focusing on background sound.
